BUCK MEMORIAL LIBRARY
Is a library open to the public. Bucksport, Verona and Orland Residents receive their cards free, all other neighboring towns, card fee 10 dollars a year for a single membership, and 15 dollars a year for family membership.
BUILDING RESTORATION DRIVE
The library is in need of extensive building repairs. The construction has been ongoing for 3 years, a wall each year, and more wall repair needed in years to come. The inside walls of the library are crumbling, and need to be taken down, replaced with solid brick and the facing granite replaced back the way it was. Any donations will be gratefully accepted.
BUCK MEMORIAL LIBRARY
The library was donated in the memory of Richard Pike Buck in 1887, by his wife Charlotte, and his daughter Emeline.
PARKING LOT ENTRANCE NOW OPEN!
The Parking Lot Entrance has been closed for months, due to construction. It is now open. Convenient parking in the back, no more stairs to climb.
COMPUTER ACCESS
The library has DSL, newly installed on its 2 computers. Sign-up must be done at location. A half hour if someone else is waiting, longer if not. Printouts on the one printer is 25 cents a sheet. No USB ports or any plug-ins are available on our computers.___________________________________________
